We have reached a particularly exciting phase in the life of the IGNA project launched by SlavkaSk n.o.. The opening of our first pyrolysis plant is now truly within arm’s reach. The system is ready, and we are currently waiting only for the final required permit. Months of work, planning, and construction are behind us, and we are finally close to turning all of this into a tangible reality.
While the final preparations are taking place in the background, IGNA Buddy couldn’t just sit and wait. He decided to set out and see with his own eyes where change is needed the most. He didn’t have to go far. After just a few steps, he encountered what we all see, yet often choose to ignore: plastic waste is everywhere around us. Along roadsides, at the edges of forests, in fields, and even in places that seem untouched at first glance.
The sight was shocking even for him. In a world full of beauty, we are seeing more and more signs that something is not right. Plastic does not disappear, it does not solve itself. It remains, transforms, and stays with us for a long time, affecting the environment and ultimately ourselves.
This is exactly the problem the IGNA project aims to address. We don’t just want to talk about it, we want to act. Pyrolysis technology offers a real opportunity to prevent waste from accumulating in nature by transforming it into useful materials. This is not a distant idea, but a solution that is becoming reality right before our eyes.
At the end of his journey, IGNA Buddy came to a simple realization: this problem cannot be solved alon, but together, it can. Every small decision matters, every action brings us closer to a cleaner environment. The work of SlavkaSk n.o. is about exactly that, not just building a project, but building a community that is willing to take action for change.
Now that the opening of the first plant is so close, it’s more important than ever to ask the question: do we want to be part of this change?
