The first IGNA pyrolysis unit is on its way to Slovenia

Ship Vessel Slovenia

The international nonprofit organization SlavkaSk n.o. has reached a historic milestone: on July 4, 2025, a BLJ-16 type pyrolysis unit departed from China bound for Slovenia. Its destination is the Port of Koper, from where it will be transported to Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary. This equipment marks the beginning of a new chapter in innovative, sustainable waste processing in Hungary. Once operational, it will play a key role in rethinking how plastic waste is managed.

On Its Way to Europe – A Shipment You Can Track Live

The unit set sail from the Port of Qingdao in China and is currently en route to Europe aboard the cargo ship EVER GRADE. As of July 14, 2025, the shipment was near Taiwan and is expected to arrive at the Port of Koper on August 26. The transportation takes approximately 60 days, and the route can be tracked live at the following link:

SlavkaSk n.o. aims not only to achieve a technological breakthrough but also to clearly and transparently demonstrate how problematic plastic waste can be transformed into valuable resources—such as oil—within a closed-loop technological process. Our organization actively communicates each step of the project, contributing to increased environmental awareness.

Why Is This Technology Important?

Pyrolysis is a thermal decomposition technology based on heating in an oxygen-free, closed system. It can break down non-recyclable plastics and convert them into secondary raw materials—such as oil that can be used in the chemical industry. This method not only reduces the volume of waste but also significantly decreases the ecological footprint.

The First Stop in a Global Program

This shipment marks the first step in a global initiative by SlavkaSk n.o. to establish pyrolysis plants around the world. The goal is to reduce plastic waste, minimize environmental impact, and promote the circular economy—even in regions where waste management is still in its early stages.

Support and Collaboration Behind the Success

This project would not have been possible without the contributions of partners, supporters, and logistics professionals. Beston Group, as the manufacturer of the equipment, along with the international shipping partners, played a key role in setting this world-changing journey in motion.

This is only the beginning. From now on, SlavkaSk n.o. is not just talking about change – it’s delivering it. Toward a cleaner future. ♻️
