The pyrolysis technology promoted by SlavkaSk n.o. is a modern, environmentally friendly process that enables the efficient recycling of mixed, contaminated, and painted plastic waste, converting it into valuable secondary raw materials.

What is Pyrolysis?

Pyrolysis is a thermal decomposition process in which organic materials—such as plastics—are heated in an oxygen-free environment. This prevents combustion and allows the molecular structure of the materials to break down and re-form into new substances.

What Types of Waste Do We Process?

Pyrolysis technology is particularly suitable for processing plastic waste that other systems are unable to handle effectively:

Main Steps of the Process

  1. Pre-treatment: The waste is shredded and homogenized.

     

  2. Pyrolysis Reactor: The plastic is heated in a closed system at temperatures up to 300 °C.

  3. Gas and Oil Formation: The heat causes the plastic to decompose, producing synthesis gas and pyrolysis oil.

  4. Oil Separation: High-quality oil is extracted from the liquid phase, which serves as a valuable feedstock for the chemical industry.

  5. Residue Management: Solid residues such as carbon black and mineral slag are either safely disposed of or recycled.

  • Low Operating Temperature (max. 300 °C): Significantly reduces energy consumption while preserving product quality.

  • High Oil Yield: Depending on the input material, pyrolysis oil output can reach 70–85%.

  • Economic Efficiency: The resulting oil can be sold, generating a stable revenue stream, while part of the energy demand is recovered from the synthesis gas.

  • Modular System: Plant size and capacity can be flexibly scaled.

  • Automated Control: The entire process is managed by automated systems, reducing the need for personnel and minimizing operational errors.
